Nesha Jackson is a rising filmmaker dedicated to telling bold, quirky, and unique stories.
Nesha, a Morgan State University alumna residing in Baltimore, is venturing into the world of indie filmmaking. Her passion lies in crafting character-driven stories, blending thrilling horror with comedic satire. Her debut short film,Word of Oda, captured the Audience Choice Award at her very first film festival (ACFF 2024), marking a promising start to her filmmaking journey.
Word of Oda showcases Nesha's distinct viewpoint and marks the beginning of her journey in storytelling. As a black woman who loves anime, she is proud to pursue her passions and bring her unique perspective to the filmmaking world.​ As she explores filmmaking, she aims to create captivating stories that redefine black representation in cinema.
