Nesha Jackson is a rising filmmaker dedicated to telling bold, quirky, and unique stories.
Nesha, a Morgan State University alumna residing in Baltimore, is venturing into the world of indie filmmaking. Her passion lies in crafting character-driven stories, blending thrilling horror with comedic satire. Her debut short film,Word of Oda, captured the Audience Choice Award at her very first film festival (ACFF 2024), marking a promising start to her filmmaking journey.
Word of Oda showcases Nesha's distinct viewpoint and marks the beginning of her journey in storytelling. As a black woman who loves anime, she is proud to pursue her passions and bring her unique perspective to the filmmaking world. As she explores filmmaking, she aims to create captivating stories that redefine black representation in cinema.
